Sorelle Bronca Prosecco NV $14.99
This one's a clean, crisp and ultimately refreshing sparkler that is one of our favorties. Just this year imported to the U.S. and now available for your holiday celebrations! According to Wine Enthusiast: "This sparkler offers a beautiful nose of white flower, orange blossom, crushed peppercorn, talc powder and almond skin. There's a focused sharpness here that helps give the wine definition, staying power and loads of character.
Villa Annalisa Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi 2007 $10.99
Reveals tons of elegance as open, perfumed aromas lead to white peaches, mint, flowers and minerals that flow from the glass. Everything comes together beautifully in this well-delineated, focused white. Lingering notes of menthol and minerals round out the elegant close.
Jean Vullien Vin de Savoie Montemelian 2009$10.99
100% Jacquère from the French Alps. If you know, and like, wines from Savoie you will be very pleased (esp for the price!). If it’s new to you, try it. Very crisp and tangy with a core of citrus/green apple/quince fruit lurking beneath. As good as any wine with shellfish, and a classic wine to pair with the meaty Alpine cheeses.
Chidaine Touraine 2008 $11.99
Classique styled Loire valley sauvignon from the master of Montlouis and Vouvray. Produced entirely from Chidaine's biodynamically farmed vineyards.
Minerals and citrus are packed into this beauty that shows surprising length and complexity for the appellation. This is a great lower-priced alternative to the popular sauvignons produced in the eastern Loire valley.
Billaud-Simon Chablis 2008 $25.99 From vines in the Prehy and Courgis neighborhood, this Chablis displays lovely, ripe pear, peach and grapefruit with hints of floral perfume, and a savory, succulent shrimp shell or even lobster-like mineral expression that seems to be typical for many wines from this sector. This superb example of its vintage’s potential in non-cru terroir finishes with, purity, refinement, and refreshing yet intriguingly mineral length. It should be worth following for at least 3-5 years.
Aguijon de Abeja Torrontes Mendoza Argentina 2009 $11.99
Aguijon de Abeja means "bee sting" which symbolizes the teamwork involved in making this wine. With a super explosive bouquet of fresh white flowers and citrus fruits, a light straw color and dry mouth with crisp acidity, this is the perfect picnic/lunchtime/summer day wine. On the palate, this wine is long and persistent with notes of white peach, pear, pineapple, grapefruit and apricot.
Deep Sea Chardonnay 2008 $16.99
The 2008 Deep Sea Chardonnay, Central Coast is golden and clear. The nose shows a mix of fresh citrus, with a background of pear and apple, fresh dough and honey, all layered with some minerality. The smooth entrance shows a soft, balanced wine with notes of citrus, apple tart, and just enough oak to add another layer of complexity that includes vanilla and toffee, complemented with crisp acidity.
Domaine de Figueirasse Gris de Gris 2009 $11.99
A pale pink sunrise in the glass, this rosé reminds of framboise, ripe blood peaches, fresh buttery pie crust and cherry juice in its aromas. Very expressive! The mouth is a wave of fresh flowers and pink fruits, with suggestions of rose water and white pepper. Figueirasse makes its home near the Camargue delta along the southern French coast, and its terroir is almost exclusively sand. These unique soils give the wine both a bit of texture in the mouth as well as a sea-kissed, mineral freshness. Orange zest and more white pepper offer a lively kick to the finish. A very unique blend of 30% Cincault, 20% Grenache Gris, 40% Grenache Noir and 10% Grenache Blanc.
